Just checking in to see if we are here.  spent an hour or more.  iI wake up thanking the great Architect  i had the opportunity to attend  both Classical and Technical high. Still working, not because I have too but because i love to and to set the the example for my grandchildren to put away the xbox games and do something even if its wrong... just kidding!  They are are all doing well ...  love to hear from any one .. and miss the reunions.

Ray, I had been interested in the virtual reunion on Zoom happening tomorrow, but have a doctor's appointment at Mercy's Cancer Center (follow-up with my oncologist) at 2:00 p.m. so won't be able to participate.  Hopefully there will be another chance down the road?  Please keep me posted -- it would be fun to 'see' everyone if only remotely.  Hope you all stay well and get your vaccination(s) when you are eligible.  I am getting my second dose next Monday!!!

I don't remember to visit our class web site very often, but love to know it is here and that I can use it as a reference when I need to. I'm writing this in hopes of other members of our class check in on occasion so we can keep up with each other. I'm still living here on Martha's Vineyard, working part time, and enjoying life. What are you up to?

Found your site again after computer failure.

My wife Eunice Long was a Tech grad in 1957 and we were married the same year in August.

Eunice is 77 and is having some health problems, but so far all manageable.

Great website.  Best wishes to you all.

Does anyone know the address of James Disanti? I would like to send him an old photograph of our elementary school class.

One of our Buckingham classmates, Tom Perrine (who went to Tech  - I went to Classical ) was in the Visual Aids group and he had copies of the master images of the girls and boys graduating class that were used in the Torch yearbook (1954).  While attending Buckingham I didn't know Tom (he lived in 16 acres and I lived off Wilbraham Road near the first site of the Basketball Hall of Fame on Alden Street) but about 7 years ago I joined his bowling team here in Melbourne, Florida.  One day while chatting about the Red Sox we discovered that we both grew up in Springfield and went to Buckingham at the same time.  What are the odds that two classmates from Springfield, Massachusetts, graduating from the same Junior High School in 1954, would end up on the same bowling team in Melbourne, Florida, 55 years later?  Tom made copies of the images for me and I sent them to all of the Buckinghamites that went to Classical (at least those that had email addresses).  Tom suggested that it would be neat to share the photos with those that went to Tech as well and, with his and Ray's help, the photos were distributed to about 30 of your classmates that had attended Buckingham.  The images have excellent resolution and if you would like copies you can email me at edunham@cfl.rr.com .  Tom and I (and our wives) have become good friends and we still bowl with them and his son, Tom Jr.  In my family we do have a 'Tech' connection - my brother Rich (Tech - Class of '61) still lives in Springfield.  Ed Dunham, Classical - Class of '57

Well, Im back again.  Still enjoying beautiful Virginia weather.
Saw Phillip Jones last year and seems to be doing good.  Also got together with Virginia Streeter and Pricilla Attleton.  Us girls from Hampden.  It was fun talking about old times. Pricilla is widowed and Virginia and her husband take off to Florida every winter.  Cannot blame them. All u classmates that were snowed in u really need to move south. At least what little we had has melted.
Bought me a 2006 baby blue Mustang coup and having a ball driving it.  Lots of wide open spaces here in Southside Virginia especially no stop lights.  I figure at 75 yrs young I may as well live it up.

After graduation I joined the Greater Springfield US Navy Honor Guard and spent my enlistment at Oceana NAS in Virginia Beach as a jet mechanic. After discharge I was employed by the Springfield Armory as an apprentice tool maker and attended WNEC where I received my BSME. After the Amory closed I was employed as a mechanical engineer by Pratt & Whitney where I spent my career. In mid 1970 I was transferred to WPB Florida and worked until I retired. I occasionally spend vacations in the Springfield area and visit old friends like Bob Labine and some of my military buddies. Last year I had lunch with Dave Cortelli and Red Greene, it was great to see them after all these years. Jeanne, my wife of 49 years, and I have two sons and three grandchildren which light up our lives. Hope to see some of you at the next reunion.

Today is my 50th birthday. I graduated from tech in 1979. I was surfing the net after church. Was Mr. Peabody there when you guys went to tech ? He was my favorite teacher. He had a good conversation with my mother on open house; she was from Lousiana like he was, and being black didn't stop Mr. Peabody from being a kind person to me or my mother.
